About Us!

Our Journey So Far

2017

Started as a way to bring combat robotics inexpensively to our founder's kids, the beginning framework of MACRO was born, with big plans and a strong team forming.

2018

Running and attending our first events, MACRO slowly began to gain traction. Our first event was held in February, and albeit poorly attended it was an amazing start to our 

2019

A big stepping stone in MACRO's journey was found in October 2019, when we attended The East Coast Rep Rap Festival (ERRF) 

2020

Not hindered by local and global lockdowns, MACRO continued to grow its presence online, planning bigger and better events for the coming years.

2023

Running another 3 events in 2023, shifting to new venues and participating in new events, MACRO took steps forward in both it's size and spread throughout it's community.

2024

Running two of their largest attended events to date, we took a break for part of the year to rest. (still attending 3D Printopia, formerly ERRF, and having a blast showing off what we could do with our 3D printers!)

2025

MACRO like in all it's year's past eagerly await new opportunities, amazing new events, and the chance to interact with you! The community, and maybe someday the world.

What's Next?

We have so many exciting plans for 2025, and beyond!

School outreach

We have already started taking part in local STEM and STEAM Fairs, and as we enter mid 2025 we hope to support the introduction of combat robotics into the classroom as a way to more effectively teach iterative design to kids.

Promoting learning all throughout.

MACRO has a multitude of sister groups all across the eastern seaboard, and the nation, all who have found their own success and influence. We can all work towards a common goal of robotics and education.
